
The New Smyrna Beach Police Explorers is an organization that instills in the youth a sense of community spirit.
The Police Explorer organization is a great alternative to drugs, alcohol, and gangs, a great opportunity for the youth to learn and make positive choices in his/her life and succeed.
Some of the duties of a Police Explorer are:
The Police Explorer will be traveling throughout the state through a program called Florida State PAL (Police Athletics League) and YDP (Youth Directors Program) and will have the opportunity to meet motivational speakers and heads of major corporations. At these events, the Police Explorer will learn how to speak to large audiences and how to perform his/her duties while running events.

~~Age limit: 14 yrs - 21 yrs
~~There is a probation period
~~Must show a maturity level
~~Must work well with others
